Welcoming with Grace, Serving with Joy
At Bustani Community Church, we believe that every person who walks through our gates should encounter the love of Christ – from the very first smile at the entrance to their final “Amen.” The Ushering Ministry plays a vital role in creating that warm, welcoming environment where all feel valued, seen, and at home.
This ministry is more than just greeting people; it is a calling to serve God by serving others with intentional kindness, order, and love. Ushers are often the first touchpoint for both members and visitors, and we consider their service to be a powerful expression of Christ-like hospitality.
What We Do:
Our ushers are entrusted with a range of responsibilities that reflect both practical support and spiritual service:
Welcoming congregants with a smile, handshake, or warm greeting
Assisting with seating and ensuring comfort during services
Providing guidance to visitors and first-time guests
Maintaining order during services and transitions
Distributing materials such as bulletins, Bibles, or offering envelopes
Supporting special services (baptisms, Holy Communion, guest visits, etc.)
Praying silently for peace, unity, and receptiveness among worshippers
